| The power generation capacity in India broken down by generation type from 2001-02 shows dependence on coal based generation, which is quite natural for country having reserves of coal, but what is heartening is increase in generation from renewable sources though small and the good news is that its share will increase as India aims to fulfill its ambitious plan of "power for all" by 2012. |
